Terms of Service

By purchasing, downloading, or using Easymoji, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

Easymoji is developed and licensed by Magne Saetran ("we", "us"), an independent developer based in South Korea. Purchases are sold and fulfilled by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as the Merchant of Record, the reseller and seller of record for your purchase. Polar processes payment and charges, collects, and remits any applicable VAT, GST, or sales tax, and issues your invoice. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Polar's checkout buyer terms.

1. License Grant

When you purchase Easymoji, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software on one (1) device. The license includes one year of free updates from the date of purchase. You receive no ownership rights, only a license to use the software.

2. Updates

Your license includes all updates released within one year of purchase. After this period, the app continues to work at the last installed version. Renewal for another year of updates will be available from our website.

3. Device Limit

Each license is tied to a single device via a machine identifier. To use Easymoji on an additional device, you must purchase a separate license. Licenses cannot be transferred between devices.

If you reinstall Easymoji on the same device (for example, after resetting app data or reformatting), your license key will continue to work. In rare cases where reactivation fails, contact support@easymoji.com and we will reset the activation.

4. Refund Policy

You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. You can request a refund through the self-service refund page or by contacting support@easymoji.com. Upon refund, your license key will be revoked and the software will revert to its unlicensed state.

Refunds are processed by our Merchant of Record, Polar. Once approved, funds are typically returned to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Easymoji does not directly hold or refund your funds.

5. Restrictions

You may not:

Share, resell, or distribute your license key
Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software
Circumvent the license activation or device verification system
Use the software for any unlawful purpose

6. Intellectual Property

Easymoji and its original code are the intellectual property of Magne Saetran. You receive a license to use the software, not ownership of it. Emoji assets are licensed separately under their respective open-source licenses (Apache 2.0 for Noto Emoji, CC-BY 4.0 for Twemoji, MIT for Fluent Emoji).

7. Termination

We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must cease using the software and delete all copies. Refund eligibility is not affected by termination within the 14-day refund window.

8. Disclaimer of Warranty

The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the software. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the license.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, South Korea.

11. Changes

We reserve the right to update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Your existing license remains governed by the terms in effect at the time of purchase. Continued use of new versions after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the developer regarding Easymoji.
