Parties and Purchase Structure
By purchasing, downloading, or using Easymoji, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
Easymoji is developed and licensed by Magne Saetran, trading as Magsmi (막스미), a sole proprietor registered in the Republic of Korea under business registration number 482-28-02053 ("we", "us"). Registered address and contact information are available on the Business Information page.
Purchases are sold and fulfilled by Polar Software, Inc., 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, Delaware 19901, United States. Polar acts as the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record—the seller of record for your transaction. Polar processes payment, calculates and remits applicable VAT, GST, or sales tax, and issues your invoice. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Polar's checkout buyer terms.
1. License Grant
When you purchase Easymoji, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software on one (1) device. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and includes one year of free updates from the purchase date. Continued use of the last compatible version is subject to periodic online validation, a compatible operating system, and availability of the services needed for validation. While offline, the app can continue to operate for up to 3 days before it requires reconnection. You receive no ownership rights, only a license to use the software.
2. Updates
Your license includes all updates released within one year of purchase. After this period, you may use the last compatible installed version subject to the license conditions above. We do not promise a future renewal product or update term; any future update offer, if available, will be described separately.
3. Device Limit
Each license permits activation on one device. Polar enforces the limit using the activation record it issues; Easymoji does not send a hardware identifier. To use Easymoji on an additional device, you must purchase a separate license. Licenses cannot be transferred between devices, except that this limit does not restrict a transfer right that applicable mandatory law requires. Contact support@easymoji.com if that exception applies to you.
If you reinstall Easymoji on the same device (for example, after resetting app data or reformatting), your license key will continue to work. In rare cases where reactivation fails, contact support@easymoji.com and we will reset the activation.
4. Refund Policy
You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. You can request a refund through the self-service refund page or by contacting support@easymoji.com. An eligible request is submitted to Polar immediately, but Polar may mark it pending while it reviews or processes the request. When Polar issues a refund, your license key will be revoked and the software will revert to its unlicensed state.
Refunds are processed by our Merchant of Record, Polar. Once Polar approves and initiates a refund, the time for funds to appear on your original payment method depends on Polar and your bank or card issuer and may take several business days. Easymoji does not directly hold or refund your funds.
This 14-day commercial refund policy is in addition to, and does not limit, any non-waivable withdrawal, conformity, refund, warranty, or other consumer right under applicable law. Polar handles transaction refunds as seller and Merchant of Record; Magsmi assists with product and license issues.
If a confirmed overpayment occurs, Polar will return the excess to the original payment method. If Easymoji is defective or does not conform to the description or a mandatory consumer guarantee, contact Magsmi at support@easymoji.com. Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, Magsmi will repair the software, provide a replacement or renewed license, or coordinate an appropriate price reduction or refund with Polar.
5. Restrictions
You may not:
- Share, resell, or distribute your license key
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software, except to the extent applicable law grants a right that cannot be restricted by contract
- Circumvent the license activation or device verification system
- Use the software for any unlawful purpose
6. Intellectual Property
Easymoji and its original code are the intellectual property of Magne Saetran. You receive a license to use the software, not ownership of it. Emoji assets are licensed separately under their respective open-source licenses (Apache 2.0 for Noto Emoji, CC-BY 4.0 for Twemoji, MIT for Fluent Emoji).
7. Termination
We may terminate your license for a material breach of these terms after reasonable notice and an opportunity to cure where practical. We may act immediately where necessary to address fraud, shared or abused license keys, a security threat, or unlawful conduct. Upon valid termination, you must cease using the software and delete all copies. Termination does not affect accrued rights, the 14-day refund policy, or any mandatory consumer remedy.
8. Disclaimer of Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Easymoji is provided "as is" and without additional contractual warranties. We do not promise that the software will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any mandatory statutory warranty, conformity right, or consumer remedy.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Magsmi is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and its aggregate liability under these supplier license terms is limited to the amount paid for the affected license. Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or a violation of mandatory consumer law. Polar's responsibilities as seller are governed by its buyer terms and applicable law.
10. Governing Law
These supplier license terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, except where mandatory law in your place of residence applies. A dispute may be brought in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits a consumer's right to use a court or dispute-resolution process available under mandatory law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms prospectively. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes through the app, website, or email and will obtain affirmative agreement where applicable law requires it. Your existing license remains governed by the terms accepted at purchase unless you expressly agree otherwise. Continued use alone does not waive a mandatory right.
12. General
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent lawful. These terms constitute the agreement between you and Magsmi regarding the Easymoji software license; they do not replace Polar's buyer terms for the sale or any mandatory rights.
