Your privacy, respected
Easymoji runs entirely on your device. No analytics, no clipboard monitoring, no keylogging, no cloud sync. Your emoji preferences, favorites, and recents are stored locally in a SQLite database that never leaves your computer. The only data sent externally is your license key and machine ID for activation.

Frequently asked questions
How does the auto-paste work?+
When you click an emoji, Easymoji simulates a paste into whatever app had focus before opening the picker. On macOS it uses System Events, on Linux it uses xdotool, and on Windows it uses native keyboard input.
Does it work on all platforms?+
Yes — Windows, macOS (Intel + Apple Silicon), and Linux (Debian, Fedora, AppImage). It's a native app built with Tauri, not a web wrapper.
What happens after my 1 year of updates expires?+
The app keeps working forever at the last version you installed. You just won't receive new features or updates. You can renew anytime to get another year of updates.
Can I use it on multiple devices?+
Each license is for one device. To use Easymoji on another computer, purchase an additional license.
Is this a subscription?+
No. It's a one-time purchase. You pay once and the app is yours forever. The 1-year update window is for receiving new versions — the app itself never stops working.
What data do you collect?+
Minimal. We store a machine identifier and your license key for activation. No analytics, no clipboard monitoring, no keylogging. All your emoji preferences are stored locally on your device.
How do I get my license key?+
After purchase, your license key is sent to your email and available in the customer portal. Enter it when you first open the app.
Can I get a refund?+
Yes — 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Email support or use the refund form on the support page.
Why not just use the built-in emoji picker?+
Built-in pickers are limited — no multi-style comparison, no kaomoji, no favorites, no customizable hotkey, no cross-platform consistency. Easymoji is built for people who use emoji a lot.
Does it require macOS Accessibility permissions?+
Yes, on macOS only. This is needed for the auto-paste feature to simulate keyboard input. The app will prompt you on first launch.
Windows says the app is untrusted / SmartScreen warning?+
This is normal for new apps without an EV (Extended Validation) code signing certificate. EV certificates cost $300+/year and require a registered business, which isn't practical for an indie app. Click 'More info' → 'Run anyway' to proceed. The app is safe — it collects no data beyond your license key.
macOS says the app can't be opened / unidentified developer?+
This happens because Easymoji isn't signed with an Apple Developer certificate ($99/year). Right-click the app → Open → Open to bypass. You only need to do this once. The app is built with Tauri, a trusted open-source framework, and collects no personal data.
